The recent tragic events in Ukraine has so far killed hundreds, displaced millions, put many millions more in dire peril due to lack of food, water, and medicines.

Some of the many most vulnerable are families of kids with special needs. Even for those who are neurotypical, bombings, the noise of war, air raid sirens, crowded conditions in shelters, becoming uprooted from one’s home and routines are incredibly traumatic. The conditions are even tougher for the kids with autism.

It can be disorienting to them even in normal times – but now their world and their family’s world has been completely upended. Some families do not know yet even how to evacuate because their child has a debilitating fear of crowds, are sound-sensitive even in the best of times, or otherwise cannot leave their surroundings.

These parents and guardians of austistic children are in desperate need of private transport, advice on where to go so their kids can get continuing services, and general information to keep these families safe. Our goal is to provide connections and information to people in Ukraine who can get these families the help and resources that they need so very badly.
